Fox Digital just launched WOLFPACK OF RESEDA, a new original, scripted web series produced in partnership with Kia Motors. Office Space meets True Blood – WOLFPACK mixes elements of workplace comedy with the conventions of horror offering a unique take on office life, the supernatural, and “winning.” The series sees Ben March’s mundane, 20-something life transform when he becomes convinced he’s been bitten by a werewolf in the suburban-Los Angeles sprawl of Reseda. After forming his own “wolfpack” and becoming the alpha dog of Reseda, Ben’s moon is on the rise, but will it turn him irreversibly into the beast that will raise Hell in the Valley?

“WOLFPACK exemplifies the kind of storytelling and distribution that is ideal for the current digital media landscape,” said Matt Glotzer, senior vice president, Fox Digital Entertainment. “We are very excited to be working closely with Kia and Myspace to bring this original and darkly hilarious story to a broad audience on a wide variety of platforms.”

WOLFPACK’s first season of eight episodes will debut weekly on Myspace starting today, and the series will also be available through a variety of digital stores. The cast features actors who have had recurring roles on The Big Bang Theory, Eastbound & Down, Lie To Me, Funny or Die Presents, and more.

We’ve heard rumors and rumblings about True Blood’s team of super-vamps known as “The Authority” for years, but we’ve yet to actually meet them!

Who are these bad boys and gals, and why are they so mysterious?

Here are the facts: The Authority is a sinister team of vampires who want to take down the monarchy. They successfully killed Queen Sophie Anne and allowed Bill to usurp her throne, but now Bill and Eric have teamed up (bromance alert!) to take the Authority down to Chinatown.

True Blood promises to bring viewers further into The Authority’s secret world next season, so check out the top five burning questions we hope get answered!

1. Does The Authority Exist All Over The World, or Just in the USA?

True Blood is set in the good ol’ USA, and though we’ve seen vampires in flashbacks to London and Sweden (sigh, Viking Eric ….), we don’t know much about their existence in other countries. Does The Authority control vampires the world over, or are they just an American powerhouse?

2. Where Is The Authority’s Headquarters?

Apparently, vampires love the Dirty South (way to go, Anne Rice), but surely a powerful group of vamps wouldn’t live in the backwoods of Bon Temps. We assume The Authority has headquarters in a big city like New York or Washington, which would take True Blood in a completely different direction next season.

3. How Do You Become a Member?

Nan Flanagan (RIP, girl) was a low-level member of The Authority who was assigned to the greater Bon Temps area, but we have no clue how she got her job. Can a vamp apply to work for The Authority, or do you have to be recruited? Bill was technically propositioned by Nan to work for this mysterious group of bloodsuckers, but what about the higher-ups?

4. Who Is The Authority’s Leader?

Who started the Authority, and how is it run? We’re curious to know whether members vote for their president in general elections like us mere mortals, or if the power-structure is established by a fight-to-the-death. One thing’s for sure, blood will be shed!

5. Is The Authority High-Tech?

Nan was never without her walkie-talkies and headphones, which gives us the strong impression that The Authority are a super high-tech group of vampires capable of running surveillance on their subjects. New theory: The Authority works for the CIA!

A first step in gathering a collection for the museum is underway. Colandrea said an unnamed donor has supplied the funds to bring an arch used as a main prop in the filming of “Twilight,” the first film in Summit Entertainment’s five-film Twilight Saga series. The arch is being brought from Oregon and will be placed in storage for now.

Plans for the three-day 2012 Stephenie Meyer Day event are already scheduled she said, and will include a Twilight-themed film festival this year. Its main event will be a nighttime reenactment of the wedding of Twilight lead characters Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, featuring costumed characters.

The extensive collection of Twilight film props owned by collector John Henson will also be on display, she said. Henson plans to sell the prop collection following the release in November of the final scheduled Twilight film, Breaking Dawn Part 2, she said. Colandrea said her committee has first dibs on buying the collection, which she said could be a key part of a Twilight museum.

She said the target audience for attracting Twilight visitors to the West End is women 30-plus years of age. This demographic has expendable income and will spend more on gifts, accommodation and dining than teenage fans, Colandrea said. However, “they expect more of an experience” than teenagers. That’s where opening a Twilight museum would give them a reason to spend more time in Forks. “They need a reason to come to Forks.” The key to continuing to draw the Twilight visitors is publicity and social networking, she said.

Forks Keeping the Twilight Mania Alive With Twilight Weddings

he Town of Forks is looking at keeping people interested in the town now that the Twilight movies are winding down. They have an angle planned involving the weddings and they have purchased the prom arch used in the movie.

A new event this year will be Twilight weddings.

Thirty people can have weddings performed — or vows renewed — on three days in August, leading up to Aug. 13, the date Bella Swan married her vampire swain, Edward Cullen, in “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1,” which was released in November.

“The wedding will look just like the wedding from the movie,” Colandrea said.

Couples will be surrounded by wisteria, and ceremonies will use an arch that is a copy of the one used in a parody of the movie on The Hillywood Show at www.thehillywoodshow, an Internet site known for its spoofs of the “Twilight Saga.”

The ceremonies — up to 10 each day — will be performed by Colandrea’s husband, Nino, who is a non­denominational minister.

No site has been confirmed yet, though “we’re negotiating with a few people to get an outdoor site for the weddings,” Colandrea said.

Nevertheless, reservations are being taken now through June 13.

The fees are $1,595 on Saturday, Aug. 11, $1,795 on Sunday, Aug. 12, and $1,995 on Monday, Aug. 13.

The Twilight weddings would be performed after the June 7 effective date of a new state law legalizing gay marriage — though the date could be delayed if opponents are successful in taking the issue to the voters.

If gay marriage is legal by August, “we’re open to everybody,” Colandrea said.

Joe Manganiello was a theater-loving jock who defended the arty kids in school, but never felt he belonged to any clique. Then he was cast in ‘True Blood’ and found his feet—all four of them.

“It was brown, now it’s gray. i don’t know what the hell happened. it seems to me, people like it. Nobody’s complained.”

The actor Joe Manganiello is musing on his beard, the ever-present scruff that contrasts the 35-year-old’s youthful vigor. Like Tom Selleck’s Magnum, P.I.mustache was to the ’80s, Manganiello’s salt-and-pepper beard (heavy on the salt) is becoming the lusty facial hair of this era.

It is mid-morning and Manganiello is sipping an Americano at an outdoor table. The café is a few blocks from his house in the tony Westwood neighborhood of Los Angeles. His eyes are shielded by black Persol sunglasses. Strands of thick dark hair hang down in front of the lenses and touch his regal nose. He’s wearing a gray T-shirt and jeans. The flashiest part of his outfit are his black and yellow old-school Nike Dunks. Leaning back in a chair, he looks as nondescript as a six-foot-five man can. He is famously fit, but doesn’t stand out as a muscle-bound behemoth.

“If I was on ‘roids, I would be this monster,” he says. “That’s not the goal.”

Manganiello marked his territory in the public consciousness as the werewolf Alcide on HBO’s soft-core Goth horror soap, True Blood. With his brooding romance-novel looks, he became an instant sex symbol when he debuted in 2010 (he has since signed on for five more seasons). The fact that he sheds his clothes to transform into lupine form doesn’t hurt matters. Manganiello views this as pragmatism rather than an extension of creator Alan Ball’s gay sensibility. “As far as the butt cheek stuff goes,” he says, “it just makes sense. It’s not gratuitous; it’s realistic. If you’re a werewolf and you transform, you lose everything and there are your butt cheeks. The show is a deconstruction of supernatural creatures. It’s not like other werewolf projects, where you magically reappear with tiny jean shorts on.”

With Magic Mike, Manganiello will wear less material than those aforementioned Daisy Dukes. Slated for a June release, the film is based upon costar Channing Tatum’s pre-Hollywood career as a Tampa, Fla., erotic dancer (Tatum also co-produced the film). Rounding out the cast are warhorse stallion Matthew McConaughey and It-boy hunks du jour Alex Pettyfer and Matt Bomer.

Elijah escaped certain death by using — shocker — Elena, as bait. He hid Elena with his nasty sister Rebecca, promising the Salvatore brothers that the vengeful vamp would tear her throat out if they didn’t stop Esther’s spell. “If there’s one thing that truly motivates the Salvatores, it’s Elena,” Gillies laughs. Damon Salvatore saved the day (well, Elena’s day) when he stopped the spell last minute by turning witch Abby Bennett into a vampire, but Gillies told EW that he was never truly worried. “I was pretty confident,” he says. “[The producers] dubbed this ‘The Season of the Originals,’ so I feel like if there was one fell swoop for all of the brothers and sisters, there would be an extraordinary movement of outrage in the TVD fandom community.”

Still, Gillies made it clear that the threat from Esther is far from over, and we won’t have to wait too long to find out what obstacles await her. “It’s going to be interesting, because now [the Originals] are all so dispersed. It’s like, ‘Well, if you’ve all gone, does that mean you’re bonded together in this death-pact, or has it been eradicated because [Abby Bennett] is gone?’”

Elijah himself decided to skip town after escaping certain death, and Gillies played coy when asked when he would return. “[Elijah will return] in your dreams,” he quips. “In your beautiful, poetic, slightly violent, manic, strange maelstrom dreams. It’s like I’ve entered your heads.”

Your heads — and Elena’s. Many fans were delighted to witness the burgeoning relationship between Elijah and Mystic Falls’ No. 1 vampire magnet, but last night’s betrayal could put a huge dent in any hope for a future romance. Still, Gillies believes that Elijah’s actions were justified. “I think that neither of them is an innocent in this,” he says. “Elena can’t exactly hold [her kidnapping] over him. She basically lied to his face, and bound him in this death ritual with his brothers and sister. I don’t think that either of them can be lofty over the other. It was a mutual betrayal, and for all of the right reasons.”

Besides, Gillies feels that it’s unlikely that the attraction will ever be taken to the next level. “[Elijah is] not pretty or attractive like the other boys,” Gillies says. “He’s on his own island of strangeness. There’s a line five miles deep at the moment, lobbying for [Elena’s] affections, but I don’t think that that’s Elijah. It’s almost more of an admiration thing than anything. I do think there is a degree of sexual tension, but I play it that she elicits from him the kind of feelings that he thought were long-dead. There’s no way he would make any advance, unless he absolutely felt that it was entirely mutual.”

So Elena is currently out of the picture, but maybe Elijah will finally see some action — on an Original vampire spinoff. No plans have been made, but Gillies says that he’s more than open to the idea. “My ideal ending [for Elijah] would be a new beginning,” he says. “With his family, and with a new series. I’ve been talking endlessly about the potential of a new show. It would be a whole new set of challenges.”
