One of the lovely moments in the finale episode of True Blood last night was the impromptu wedding of Jessica and Hoyt. At the wedding, Bill Compton gave away the bride while Andy Bellefleur conducted over the ceremony. Also attending the wedding were Jason, Sookie, Holly and Arlene, who watched on as the couple said their vows.

Jessica writes on her blog:

Having this blog as a record of my early memories in Bon Temps — it means the world to me. I’ve got one last thing to share before I sign off for good. Pictures from my wedding! Can you believe it? Hoyt and I are married! It all happened so fast but I’m glad we took the leap. It just feels right to be on this journey with him.

You’ve all felt like my family, and even though you couldn’t be there to share the big day with me, I know you were all there in spirit.

By the way, my favorite picture is Hoyt sitting in Bill’s chair looking very “stately.” Perhaps he has a new calling — mayor? I may be overreaching, but I wouldn’t mind being first lady of Bon Temps…

Forever yours,

Jessica Hamby-Fortenberry

Photos that make a lovely album for Jessica and Hoyt to cherish are below along with some candids by Holly Cleary.

Alexander Skarsgård’s played the stoic, if sexy vampire Eric Northman and perhaps no one is sadder than Skarsgård himself.

Below is a short interview with Alex where he admitted he had a hard time keeping it together on set when filming wrapped.

It was unbelievably emotional,” the star said of shooting his last scene. “That show has been such a huge part of my life. I’ve met some really good friends on that set, and there is no doubt that they will remain close friends forever.

That said, Skarsgard knows it will “never be exactly the same” now that the series is over.

There’s something about going to a location like that and just having these people as your family, and their families as your family,” he told Us. “The last scene I filmed, I was just trying to take it all in and I started crying.

He is happy, though, with how his character ended up.

I think how he ends fits with how he’s lived,” the Swedish-born star mused of Eric. “He’s always had a clear mission and a clear agenda on his mind…I guess we’ll have to see what the reactions are.

Regardless, nothing can take away from his experience on the show, which he’ll carry with him always — along with, perhaps, a souvenir from the set. While most of the props are being auctioned off for charity, Skarsgard’s costar Kristin Bauer (who played his faithful, super-sassy vampire kin Pam) managed to steal a very meaningful memento for him.

“Pam grabbed my fangs for me,” he shared.

Can you imagine The Vampire Diaries without one member of its holy trinity? With reports circulating that either Ian Somerhalder, Nina Dobrev or Paul Wesley will be leaving Mystic Falls for good after season 6, us fans are crossing our fingers that this isn’t the final nail in the coffin for the hit CW show.

Season 6 is 100 percent go for October 2nd, but could The Vampire Diaries be drained of its vital life blood if one it’s main players chooses to leave before season 7 begins?

Executive producer Julie Plec opened up to E! Online about the future of the show at SDCC a few weeks ago and revealed that, in her opinion, TVD;

Will go as long as the actors want the show to go

Clearly, one of the key actors are not as keen as they once were after shooting 5 seasons of the show, but this shouldn’t be enough to cause mass panic amongst the fandom.

Although we don’t want to think about it, The Vampire Diaries would almost certainly continue on without one of it’s main players.

TVD still drags in an average over 2 million viewers per episode and is by far the most successful show that the CW has ever put out.

E! Online went on to explain that although series 7 would have much more clout with all of its main players, that producers are considering the possibility of shifting the focus of the show onto other fan favorites.

This might be controversial, but this could be a great thing for the future of TVD, even hardcore fans are getting sick of the never ending love triangle and there are so many characters that haven’t been truly explored yet.

Caroline is always a love interest, Bonnie is always a side-kick and Matt’s character has been just plain stale for longer than I can remember – If these stereotypes could be shaken up, we would all have a lot more to sink out teeth into.

Would you watch The Vampire Diaries without one of the holy trio?

It’s been 6 years since the first Twilight movie. SIX YEARS.

A lot has happened since then…and it might surprise you what the Cullen clan have been doing…

Robert Pattinson (Edward Cullen)

Age Then: 22

Age Now: 28 (D.O.B – May 13, 1986)

Personal Life: Unless you have been living under a lichen-covered rock in the wilds of Alaska, Rob’s personal life needs no explaining.

Life imitated art when Pattinson started dating his Twilight sweetheart at some point in 2009. Although there are plenty of images of the pair smooching and walking hand-in-hand from 2009-2010, the first public acknowledgement of their relationship came in October 2011 when Kristen called Rob her boyfriend in an interview with GQ magazine.

The next time the pair mentioned their relationship publicly was under adverse circumstances in July 2012.

That was the fateful year where Kristen Stewart was photographed fumbling with Snow White and the Huntsman director Rupert Sanders. Stewart finally confirmed her and R-Patz’s status when she released the following heartfelt statement;

I’m deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I’ve caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I’m so sorry

The lovestruck pair spent some time apart, but were well and truly back on by October 2012.

Unfortunately, loves young dream wasn’t meant to be and the couple split for good in May 2013… Unless you believe the constant hissing of tabloid whispers about secret reunions.

Since the KStew split, Rob has been romantically linked to multiple lucky ladies such as Katy Perry, Imogen Kerr and Riley Keough but nothing has crept beyond the rumor stage.

Life After Twilight: Desperate to avoid being typecast as a brooding teen idol, Robert Pattinson’s post-Twilight portfolio is a diverse affair.

While still portraying Edward Cullen in the five part series, Pattinson took on more left-field roles such as Salvatore Dali in Little Ashes and a 28-year-old billionaire in David Cronenberg’s Cosmopolis (2012).

After his Twilight obligations were fulfilled, Pattinson really went down and dirty by taking on the role of a mentally challenged outlaw named Rey in David Michod’s The Rover (2014). The 28-year-old actor has received an enormous amount of critical acclaim for this performance.

This year, we can look forward to seeing Rob in a variety of diverse roles including T. E. Lawrence (AKA Lawrence of Arabia) in Queen of the Desert, a fame-obsessed limo driver in Maps to the Stars and a paparazzo who befriends James Dean in Life.

Pattinson is also in talks to play a gangster in a Harmony Korine directed flick.

Kristen Stewart (Bella Swan)

Age Then: 18

Age Now: 24 (D.O.B – April 9, 1990)

Personal Life: Do I really have to tell the whole depressing tale again?

Since Rob and Kristen split to the wailing laments of millions of Twilight fans, Stewart’s love life (or lack of it) has been put under the microscope.

Since landing a starring role in Equals alongside Nicholas Hoult, the gossip rags have been abuzz with rumors that Jennifer Lawrence was not happy Kristen was anywhere near her boyfriend (which Lawrence later personally denied).

Now Lawrence and Hoult have officially split, the tabloids are eager to ram Stewart and Hoult together, but it’s all just a bunch of baseless rumors.

Oh, and Kristen has also been rumored to be a lesbian. Because, you know, wearing jeans and stuff.

Life After Twilight: Like her ex-flame, Robert Pattinson, KStew has avoided major blockbusters with the exception of 2012’s Snow White and the Huntsman.

During her 4-year stint as Bella Swan, Stewart took on a number of noteworthy roles including portraying the punk rock icon Joan Jet in 2010’s The Runaways and the free-spirited 16-year-old Marylou in 2012’s On the Road.

Stewart has an impressive four films under her belt for 2014 and has been winning glowing praise for her roles. To get your most recent Kristen fix get your mitts on Clouds of Sils Maria where Stewart shines as Juliette Binoche’s assistant or be patient for KStew in camo as a Guantanamo Bay Guard in the long awaited Camp X-Ray (release date October 17th 2014).

Other upcoming roles will see Stewart starring alongside Nicholas Hoult in the sci-fi romantic drama Equals and reunited with her Adventureland co-star, Jesse Eisenberg in American Ultra (the role responsible for Kristen’s grungy orange hair).

Taylor Lautner (Jacob Black)

Age Then: 16

Age Now: 22 (D.O.B – February 11, 1992)

Personal Life: Lautner’s most high profile romance was short but sweet. The star dated Taylor Swift from October to November 2009 but Swift reportedly ended their love affair because Lautner was more into her than she was into him. Awwwww.

Taylor obviously has a thing for teeny bopper pop icons because he also briefly dated Selena Gomez while he was filming Twilight: New Moon in Vancouver.

As far as we know, Taylor Lautner is currently single.

Life After Twilight: Lautner managed to make it through the entire Twilight filmography, despite the fact that he was meant to be recast in the second instalment due to Jacob’s dramatic transformation in the books.

During his Twilight days, Taylor appeared alongside the likes of Julia Roberts and Bradley Cooper in Valentine’s Day (2010) as loved up teenager Willy Harrington. He also took a turn as the leading man in the 2011 thriller, Abduction.

Other movies featuring Lautner include 2013’s Grown Ups 2 where he plays a frat boy and the upcoming action thriller, Tracers that is due for release this year.

Taylor is currently enjoying a comedic spell across the pond in the British comedy Cuckoo.

Ashley Greene (Alice Cullen)

Age Then: 21

Age Now: 27 (D.O.B – February 21, 1987)

Personal Life: Ashley Greene has been dating Paul Khoury since September 2013. To save your fingers the Wikipedia based trouble, Greene’s other half is an Australian TV personality who is an anchor for numerous poker programs.

So, now you know.

Life After Twilight: During her time in the Twilight franchise, Ashley Greene tentatively dipped her toe into a few different movie genres.

The actress tried her hand at sci-fi in Radio Free Albemuth (2011), tickled funny bones in Butter (2011) and scared us silly with the supernatural horror The Apparition (2012) before her time as Alice Cullen came to a close.

Since then, Greene has taken to the silver screen alongside Miley Cyrus in 2012’s LOL and starred as Lisa Kristal in 2013’s punk rock biopic CBGB.

Greene’s upcoming movies include Burying the Ex, a comedy that has been selected for screening at the Venice International Film Festival.

Kellan Lutz (Emmett Cullen)

Age Then: 23

Age Now: 29 (D.O.B – March 15, 1985)

Personal Life: Kellan Lutz has had a couple of high profile relationships since his Twilight days.

After single-handedly redefining the sex appeal of the tank-top, Lutz dated his 90210 co-star AnnaLynne McCord between 2008 and 2011.

His most recent relationship was with the Australian actress Sharni Vinson but they split in mid 2013 meaning Lutz is currently a very eligible bachelor.

Life After Twilight: During his Twilight era, Lutz appeared in a few movies such as the 2010 remake of A Nightmare on Elm Street and 2011’s modern day gladiator flick Arena alongside Samuel L Jackson.

In recent years, Kellan’s beefy physique has won him roles as Hercules in The Legend of Hercules (2013) and John Smilee is 2014’s The Expendables 3.

Nikki Reed (Rosalie Hale)

Age Then: 20

Age Now: 26 (May 17, 1988)

Personal Life: Nikki Reed must be totally addicted to the vampire lifestyle. After portraying the most beautiful woman in the world in Twilight, she is now dating arguably one of the most beautiful mean in the world. Ian Somerhalder of The Vampire Diaries.

Life After Twilight: In the midsts of her Twilight fame, Reed appeared in a few big screen movies to mixed critical acclaim. Her foray into horror as the lead in 2010’s Chain Letter was a box office bomb, but Reed later starred alongside big names such a Bruce Willis in the 2011 action thriller Catch .44.

Reed has gone on to land roles in the upcoming 2014 sports comedy Intramural that opened to positive reviews at Tribeca Film Festival and also, bizarrely appeared in a 2013 music video for the boy band Hanson… Who knew they were still about?!

Jackson Rathbone (Jasper Hale)

Age Then: 22

Age Now: 29 (D.O.B – December 14, 1984)

Personal Life: Jackson Rathbone married his long-term girlfriend, Sheila Hafsad, in September 2013.

The pair have a 2-year-old son together who is named after his father with the stately title of Monroe Jackson Rathbone VI.

Yep, that’s right, Jackson Rathbones real first name is Monroe.

Life After Twilight: Deep within his Twilight years, Jackson Rathbone unfortunately decided to accept a role in the universally panned The Last Airbender (2010).

He has also tried his hand at a little more horror by taking the leading role in the British psychological horror movie, Dread (2009).
