The CW has released some stills for the upcoming 6th episode of the season. The episode is titled “Fruit of the Poisoned Tree” and the synopsis reads:

TRUST ISSUES — When Klaus (Joseph Morgan) discovers Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) life is being threatened, he goes to extreme lengths to protect her and their unborn baby. Having a difficult time dealing with the tragic events of her past, Cami (Leah Pipes) turns to Father Kieran (guest star Todd Stashwick) for guidance. Feeling as though he can trust no one, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) visits an old friend to seek out some advice, while Davina (Danielle Campbell) takes steps to learn how to control her magic. Finally, Klaus delivers some surprising news to Father Kieran. Daniel Gillies, Claire Holt and Daniella Pineda also star.

We already knew the history of the titular characters on “The Originals,” The CW’s “Vampire Diaries” spinoff, but the first few episodes of the new series have done an excellent job of filling us in on the origins of the show’s other main characters.

Girl in New Orleans

Tuesday’s (Oct. 29) episode, “Sinners and Saints,” we’ll finally find out why Davina (Danielle Campbell), the tiny but incredibly powerful teenage witch, has so much power inside of her and why the witches and vampires are fighting over who gets to care for her.

Campbell tells Zap2it she’s heard quite a few theories about how her character has so much strength. “I’ve heard people say she’s a demon witch, which was interesting for me,” she says. “Everyone thinks I’m this evil little girl, and I totally get it. I feel like after they see this week’s episode they’re going to totally love her and understand why she feels this way.”

Last week, we learned all about Cami (Leah Pipes), the token human who’s caught the eye of both the immortal vampire/werewolf hybrid Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and the reigning unofficial vampire king of NOLA, Marcel (Charles Michael Davis). “Personally, I’m fine with either one,” she tells Zap2it of Cami’s romantic prospects. “I really think she’s not in the place to be in a relationship right now, so hopefully she stays independent.”

Tuesday, we’ll learn how Cami’s sad story intertwines with Davina’s, and why Davina must choose sides too. Spoiler: It involves murder, ancient magic, and possible new alliances. So, you know, just another Tuesday on The CW!

Everything you think you know about The Originals is about to change.

“In a fight for power, she’s the ultimate weapon,” reads the tagline of Tuesday’s episode (8/7c, The CW) when viewers will finally learn why and how 16-year-old Davina (Danielle Campbell) is arguably the most powerful being in New Orleans.

“So far, she’s been known as this big secret so a lot of [answers] will be revealed,” Campbell tells “Everyone is going to finally understand why she is the way she is.”

On last week’s episode, Davina was finally let out for the night with disastrous results, but with Marcel (Charles Michael Davis) by her side with the newly awakened Elijah (Daniel Gillies), Davina seems more protected than ever. “Davina starts to develop her own sense of friendship,” she says. “Marcel is the one person she considers her family now — he’s like a really protective older brother or father figure to her, and she’d do anything to support him. With Elijah, he really feels for her when she tells him her story, and Davina knows he wants to help her.”

Another major player in this week’s history lesson is Sophie Devereaux (Daniella Pineda) who shares more than one surprising connection to her current adversaries. “It will all make perfect sense after this week,” Pineda tells us. “There will be something in her past that a lot of people will find a little shocking, but it will also reveal Sophie’s relationship to her sister that will make people a little more empathetic to her.”

Ultimately, the two witches will cross paths revealing via flashback the connection that ties them together. From there, both Campbell and Pineda hope it gives viewers reasons to root for them.

“I think people like Sophie because she’s a risk-taker and she’s a bada–,” says Pineda. “She’s a good person deep down and out of all the women on the show she’s the ballsiest. She’s going up against people who have powers that supersede her own, yet she’s still brave.”

Adds Campbell: “I’m excited for people to finally understand her more and root for her as she finds her sense of self. She’s still figuring out who she is, and everyone’s going to have a lot of fun watching that.”

The Originals airs on Tuesdays at 8/7c on The CW.
