“When Klaus puts his mark on you, you’re pretty f—ed,” Plec tells TVGuide.com. “So we do not have any plans to bring him back until there is a resolution to his Klaus problem.”

So with Tyler (Michael Trevino) gone, what does this mean for the dynamic between Caroline (Candice Accola) and Klaus (Joseph Morgan)? Plec explains in Part 2 of our chat about the CW series.

Is there any hope for Tyler to return?
Julie Plec:
Tyler had to leave in the same way Katherine had to leave. When Klaus puts his mark on you, you’re pretty f—ed. So we do not have any plans to bring him back until there is a resolution to his Klaus problem and with Katherine it took her out for two years. Tyler does appear in one episode [this season], but it’s not his “return.”

When the show returns, it seems Caroline and Elena might go head-to-head.
Plec: Caroline in her darkest day has never been anything but a fixer, and her efforts to fix Elena and try to get her on the right track are not going to go over so well. These girls are peers and best friends, but one of their behaviors has changed, so it’s a real world paradigm of high school friendships, with one friend getting out of control and what you try to do about it and how they respond to you.

What can we expect from Caroline and Klaus’ relationship?
Plec: We haven’t seen the end of the strange and somewhat perverse and beautiful and horrific and amazing and awful dynamic between Caroline and Klaus. Even if the spin-off does happen and we have two shows, I don’t predict that that would be the end of that relationship.

Some people haven’t loved the direction that Bonnie’s character has gone this season. What can you say about her future?
Plec: I think everyone has an opinion about Bonnie. Some love her, some hate her, some love to hate her, some defend her with everything they have and some yawn and say, “Who cares?” She’s one character that never had one singular point of view from the fan base. But for us she has always been the one who’s caught in between what’s right and what’s wrong and what her heritage calls for [and] what she wants to do in the name of her friends. Now she’s under extreme manipulation by Shane or Silas, whatever you want to call him right now, yet she’s really just being driven by a desperate desire to bring Jeremy back from the dead. So he’s exploiting that emotional drive she has and taking it to the next level and I don’t even know if Bonnie right now is aware of how insane she is! Her mind has a very clear drive which is, “I can bring Jeremy back.”

The second half the season will be more grounded in high school. What can we expect?
Plec: We just started shooting the prom episode, which is episode 19 and graduation is going to be the finale. We’ll get to end the season with all of those great questions of who’s going to be where, who’s going to be with who, who’s going to do what.

So when will we know who Elena is taking to prom?
Plec: You may have to wait until someone puts up the wrong photos or I accidentally slip and say something in the press.

TV Line has released a couple of little spoilers on Klaus, Elijah and Silas:

Question: Any scoop on the upcoming Klaus sex scene on The Vampire Diaries? —Holly
Ausiello: There will be blood ink. Teases exec producer Julie Plec of the anticipated coitus session in Episode 16 (airing March 14): “I will say that Joseph Morgan has some tattoos that I didn’t know he had until shooting this scene.” (BTW, Plec wouldn’t say if his partner in fornication was someone we’ve met before).

Question: Any scoop on Elijah’s Vampire Diaries return? —Jessica
Ausiello: Plec confirms that viewers will get “a little Elijah flavor” before the planted Originals spin-off airs in April. “It’ll be fun to have him back in our Mystic Falls universe,” she adds. “We finally get a sense of what he’s been doing during his whole absence from our world.”

Question: Can you give us any Vampire Diaries scoop on Silas? —Holly
Ausiello: Plec will eventually put a face to the name, telling TVLine, “We do plan at some point to meet the real Silas.”

And after a recent set visit Zap2it shared this little spoiler:

We visited the set last week and — in addition to getting some scoop on Tyler’s return — we also got to watch Nina Dobrev pull double-duty as she filmed a scene for episode 418, “American Gothic.” In the past, we’ve seen Katherine pretend to be Elena plenty of times, but now, we’ll get to see Elena’s best impression of Katherine. Katherine didn’t seem too impressed by the likeness, though… she thinks Elena’s innocence will be a dead giveaway. (Not to mention her haircut.)

And according to Hollywood Life Damon is due to take Elena to New York City for a little party time….

While Damon and Elena are galavanting in the big city, the rest of the Mystic Falls gang is back home, trying to figure out what to do about Silas. Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) spend the episode trying to convince Klaus (Joseph Morgan) to help them track Silas down, while Bonnie (Kat Graham) is off in her own little world as she “struggles to keep her grasp on reality and do the right thing.”

And apparently we are up for some more flashbacks to Damon’s life in the ’70s also include the return of Lexi (Arielle Kebbel)? And that Damon and Lexi’s encounter is “complicated?” Get excited, kids!

The CW has released a very spoilery description for the March 21 episode of Beauty And The Beast, in which someone is “Insatiable.”

CAT AND VINCENT GET A FRESH START — After taking their relationship to a new level, Cat (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) are forced to deal with reality when someone appears to be the framing the vigilante. Evan (Max Brown) finds proof that Cat knows more than she is letting on about the beast. Muirfield and the police are closing in on Vincent and this time there is no escape, so J.T. (Austin Basis) and Cat come up with an extreme solution. Meanwhile, Tess (Nina Lisandrello) following a tip, finds something that will forever change her relationship with Cat. Brian White also stars. Lee Rose directed the episode written by Blair Singer (#115).

And be warned …..there is some spoilers coming up…..

They’ve already kissed. Has the time finally come for Beauty and the Beast’s Catherine (Kristin Kreuk) and Vincent (Jay Ryan) to go all the way? We may find out on the sexy March 14 episode of The CW drama when the star-crossed lovers attend a glamorous masquerade ball.

“We start with this beautiful kiss, and things heat up very quickly,” teases executive producer Brian Peterson. “They’re definitely going to have an amazingly romantic night.”

And in early April, Catherine and Vincent will pay homage to the original late-’80s Ron Perlman-Linda Hamilton series by going “subterranean,” Peterson says. “Then there is a massive move to a new location and, for our last few episodes, we will be meeting people from Catherine and Vincent’s pasts.”

Do you have a bad feeling about Evan poking around in Vincent’s world? You should be. That situation will hit critical mass in episode 17 and 18, complete with a confrontation between two people that doesn’t go smoothly at all. Does it leave someone in danger? Possibly. Will it change Vincent and Catherine’s relationship? Definitely.

Warning: The following contains major spoilers from this week’s episode of Beauty and the Beast.

Matters of love… and death… loomed large this week on The CW’s Beauty and the Beast. Starting with the sadder latter, when Darius got into a bit of a pickle with some thugs he owed money to, Vincent beasted out and leaped into action, all in the name of saving Catherine’s sister Heather from being whacked as a witness to the illegal dealings. Alas, in the course of doing so, Vincent got Darius killed — the first innocent to die by his hands.

As for the love… well, at the climax of an episode that spent much time teeing up a fake, then possibly real, break-up between Catherine and Vincent, the show zagged instead of zigged and had the beauty proclaim her love for her beast. He responded in kind and then some, as they finally went all in on the kiss that for weeks has evaded them (and in turn taunted fans).

Knowing that you’d crave more, more, more, TVLine reached out to executive producer Brian Peterson about this week’s big happenings and the (sex-y?) twists to come when Season 1 resumes on March 14.

TVLINE | At the time I spoke to Sherri Cooper in early December and she said a first kiss was coming, did you all know back then that it would land in this midseason finale?
You know, everything on the show has been a constant conversation and has been slightly in flux because we’re trying to really pace things a certain way, to not hold things too long. We had somewhat intended it [to happen to by this point], but we weren’t positive. But now that it’s shot, it’s really going to escalate. We’re not going to do one of those things where we tease it and then pull it away. We’re really going to keep heating things up.

TVLINE | Was it important to you to bundle with this moment their exchanging of the L-word?
We want to make this show feel as real as possible, but it’s also a bit of the “epic love” that everybody’s hoping for. So we really wanted to hit the beats the way that you’d want them to fall. They say they love each other before things escalate beyond that.

TVLINE | But is it safe to say that, as much as you want to “keep heating things up,” there’ll be no sex quite yet?
I would keep watching. We really wanted to have a lot of integrity as far as the way that would play out. Coming back in the next few episodes, you’ll see their relationship change pretty dramatically.

TVLINE | On a very different note: Is Joe going to be particularly fired up coming out of Darius’ tragic death?
He is going to be furious, and that’s going to really drive the next several episodes for sure. He is out for blood and out, for vengeance.

TVLINE | Is this where Sendhil Ramamurthy’s “great antagonist” DA comes in, as the guy leading the new charge to hunt down the beast who killed a hero’s brother?
Yes, and he is fantastic. He comes in and creates a task force specifically to hunt this thing — and Cat ends up on that task force. She ends up right smack dab in the middle of everything.

TVLINE | And how is Vincent himself going to cope with his role in Darius’ death? Is he going to make it a priority to hunt down the thugs that pulled him into this mess?
That’s a big part of the next episode. It is all about trying to track down the one witness who escaped [the crime scene]. It s very much is about Joe trying to hunt Vincent and Vincent trying to exonerate himself, so that he has some kind of a witness to say that he wasn’t completely at fault for what happened.

TVLINE | I found it a bit conspicuous that Vincent ran over to Heather and spoke to her while he was trying to wake her up. Is that something that she is going to start to recall, and place him at the scene? Because I was, like, yelling, “Dude, don’t let her know you were there!”
When you’re a beast, you sometimes don’t think things through. It’s just what happens. But, what I can tell you is somebody close to Cat, within the next few episodes, is going to find out that she’s connected to the beast. And that is kind of a big deal coming up.
