After watching yet another thrilling episode of Season 4, the Vampire Diaries seems to be hotting up yet again.
According to E Online who recently spoke with Nina Dobrev, there is going to be something coming up that will bring big changes:
“Something happens in the near future, something pretty tragic and terrible and kind of show changing,” Nina Dobrev tells us. “It’s going to really affect every single person. It’s going to especially affect Damon, Elena and Stefan in a pretty crazy, controversial way. The whole show is going to shift. It’s going to be explosive.”
Below is this weeks promos for the upcoming Valentines Day epsiode, titled “Down the Rabbit Hole”.
And during the week the title for Episode 18 was released by Jose Molina, who also wrote the episode along with Evan Bleiweiss. The episode will be titled “American Gothic”…..sounds ominous!! Can’t wait to read the Episode Synopsis!
And while we wish everything we had in this update was going to be good news, it is with heavy heart that we have to tell you that The Vampire Diaries will be taking a mid winter hiatus. According to Wetpaint.com the show will be taking two weeks hiatus from February 28th and returning on March 10th with Episode 16, titled, “Bring it On”.
A couple of weeks after the show returns, we will get to see the much anticipated Episode 20, which is the backdoor episode to the Vampire Diaries spin off, The Originals. Since this weeks episode, Klaus has been feeling pretty self destructive after his talk with Damon about being bad “with a purpose” versus merely doing things “to be a dick.”, so Klaus flees Mystic Falls. Elijah (Daniel Gillies) tries to assist his brother, who is in need of redemption.
Apparently that’s not the only reason Klaus returns to his old haunt. “The idea is that a turn of events in Mystic Falls sends Klaus to New Orleans to solve a mystery,” Julie Plec tells Entertainment Weekly. “He gets word that some people are making a move against him that might concern him. So he heads to New Orleans to try to figure who’s plotting against him and what they’re up to.”
As it turns out Klaus was one of New Orleans’s original (no pun intended) inhabitants. According to Julie, “He reacquaints himself with a vampire that he actually turned back in the day, Marcel, who has created a whole set of rules and a whole society for the supernatural community that he’s in charge of — sort of tipping his hat to Klaus and saying, ‘You taught me everything I know.’ So Klaus’ protegé is now the big king of the supernatural community in New Orleans and Klaus is stepping back into that.’”
A new photo has been released from Episode 15 “Stand By Me”
The photo shows Elena flanked by Stefan and Damon….just where they are heading with such determined looks is yet to be revealed.
And good news for all our UK readers! The Vampire Diaries will return to your screens on ITV2 on Tuesday, February 19 at 9pm!!
