Only two more episodes until the mid season break. This weeks episode will see a flash back to the days of War as Damon & Stefan head back to one of their old haunts, Burbon Street.
Julie Plec recently shared some info for this particular episode with E Online about this interesting concept that Caroline and Stefan came up with at the end of the last episode.
Elena is due to find out abut this theory in this weeks episode, whilst Damon is going to start questioning Elena’s feelings even more than Elena, who has a very strong opinion about how she feels. And in order to make it past this hurdle of the sire bond, both of them are going to have to dig very deeply into their feelings to work it out. This could either make them stronger than ever or tear them apart.
As for Stefan? Well his original shock is going to turn to hope as he finally realizes that the sire bond could explain why he and Elena grew so far apart. But we’ll also see a lot more of Stefan finding his own strength and redefining what he wants for himself.

As for the mid season finale, titled “O Come All Ye Faithfull”, it seems that this episode is going to be quiet the thriller….according to TV Guide there will be mass casualties in the midseason finale, including someone you’ve known since Season 1. And could this be releated to the Tyler/Klaus Hybrid war going on? According to TV Line it may be possible….
