Seventeen Magazine recently spoke with Dylan O’Brien, star of MTV’s hit show, Teen Wolf.

How he got the part:
“I was supposed to audition for Scott, but I asked to audition for Stiles instead. I was reading the script, I was supposed to be reading Scott, but I couldn’t help but keep wanting to read the Stiles parts. I was just like, ‘This guy is freaking awesome.’ And I knew myself, and how I come off, and I’m way more like Stiles than I am Scott. And I love this freaking character. So I did that.”

What he’s dying for you to see on the show:
“I’m excited for everyone to see how genuinely sweet and loyal of a guy this character (Stiles) is. You get a glimpse of that in the first episode. The most important thing that I think when I’m playing this role is ‘genuine.’ I think girls like that, right? I hope girls like that. Otherwise, I give up.”
