Well you certainly wouldn’t think that the Vampire Diaries was on hiatus with the amount of interviews and news that is continually coming to light! But I guess we shouldn’t complain because I’m sure that sooner or later we will be screaming for news!
Today we have a little bit more spoilerish info from Julie Plec who spoke with TV Guide – a word of warning….read on at your own RISK!!
“It will be a very emotional, very complicated first episode when the show returns, but Elena’s future is pretty set,” says executive producer Julie Plec. What’s not a done deal is just which brother she’ll end up with. “That’s the best question of all!” says Plec, adding that though Elena (Nina Dobrev) chose Stefan (Paul Wesley) in the season finale, “everything has changed. Not necessarily how she feels about the boys, but who she is. This may bring her closer than ever to Stefan, or it may give her a deeper bond with Damon [Ian Somerhalder]. Plus, she’ll start learning things, like how Damon compelled her to forget their first meeting. Those memories will come back, and it’ll add more fuel to the fire.”
Continuing on in interviews Candice Accola weighs in on Klaus-in-Tyler and Elena’s transformation with Zap2it at the recent CW Upfronts.
“I don’t know what the theme yet is for next season. Last year I knew that it was going to be the year of the originals, but… if I had to guesstimate, and I’m totally blowing smoke here, but what’s going to be the straw that breaks the camel’s back?”
Candice wonders, “Elena handles everything so well… What’s going to be everyone’s breaking point? How is everyone keeping it so together? It’s going to be interesting to see how Elena handles this, because you assume [she’ll handle it] wonderfully and beautifully and with grace.”

Still on the girls, Kat Graham spoke with TV Guide after the Upfronts, telling them that she’d love to see Bonnie become a villian in an upcoming season. “I’m never opposed to being a villain in a series, if it’s justified,”. Check out the full interview below:
