Supernatural’s seventh season comes to an end on May 18 with episode 23, “Survival of the Fittest.” Will Sam and Dean be able to find a way to defeat Dick Roman and the Leviathans for good?
Supernatural Season 7 Episode 23 “Survival of the Fittest” Official Description
“SAM AND DEAN STORM SUCROCORP TO TAKE DOWN DICK ROMAN — Dean (Jensen Ackles) and Sam (Jared Padalecki) prepare for battle with Dick Roman (guest star James Patrick Stuart). Dick’s in the final phase of his plan and the Winchesters must team up with Castiel (guest star Misha Collins), Bobby (guest star Jim Beaver), Meg (guest star Rachel Miner) and Kevin (guest star Osric Chau), the prophet, to stop him. However, Dick is one of the smartest enemies they’ve ever faced so it’s a mind game to see who can keep the upper hand.”
Supernatural got an extra episode this season, and they’re going to be putting it to good use with this last arc. They’re bringing back familiar faces (Crowley and the Alpha Vamp are back in episode 22, “There Will Be Blood,” and now Misha, Bobby, and Meg are going to be the ones to work with Sam and Dean in the finale). They’re introducing this new prophet in Kevin, who will first show up in episode 21, “Reading Is Fundamental.” It’s shaping up to be a good Supernatural finale, and spoilers have revealed that the Impala is returning in “Survival of the Fittest.” You just have to hope it doesn’t suffer the same fate as it did in the first and sixth season finales, leaving Dean to fix it up yet again after he’s spent all this time behind the wheel of other cars.
Dick Roman has proven to be quite the adversary in Supernatural season 7, and he’ll be making a move in episode 20, “The Girl With the Dungeons and Dragons Tattoo,” when he assigns Charlie to the job of hacking Frank’s hard drive. Though Sam and Dean will be getting Charlie on their side, will Dick Roman get information off that hard drive that he’ll use against them in the finale, “Survival of the Fittest”?
What is Dick Roman’s plan? In “Out With the Old,” George told the Winchesters that they were building a research center for disease so they could cure cancer. However, he’s a Leviathan. It’s not like they could trust him when he says they’re here to help. Whatever Dick’s up to, he’s “in the final phase,” which is definitely something to be concerned about. Will the cliffhanger of season involve his plan? Will someone’s life be hanging the balance? Could it be uncertain if Bobby will make it to season 8 as a ghost? Could Meg end up dying after surviving all this time since season 1? Could this new prophet, Kevin, who never wanted to be part of this, lose his life in the final battle with Dick?
