Joseph Morgan talks about What Will Devastate Klaus with TV Guide

Even though we’ve already ventured back 1,000 years to see the big bad hybrid’s life as a human, Joseph Morgan says we’ll soon learn even more about his early years. “We’re going to learn about the ritual they went through to become vampires and also the ritual that made Klaus’ werewolf side dormant,” Morgan says.

And now that Elijah (Daniel Gillies) is back in the picture, it’s only a matter of time before Rebekah (Claire Holt) returns – with a vengeance.

“When somebody does finally pull the dagger out of her, he’ll be more devastated than anything because he’ll have let down the one person in the world he didn’t want to let down, and that to him means more than any angry confrontation,” Morgan says.

Ian Somerhalder, Zach Roerig, & Joseph Morgan Talk ‘Vampire Diaries’ with >Ology.com

I’ve always viewed Klaus as inherently selfish, and always using those who believe he’s trustworthy. As we go on, does he continue that trend, or can his newfound dynamic with Caroline change that?

JOSEPH: I think that there’s potential for him to change, yes, but it’s going to be really difficult. Because as well as being selfish, he’s incredibly paranoid. He’s spent the last 1000 years maintaining this lie he’s told his siblings. He’s the product of a dysfunctional family, having this horrible relationship with his father, being a bastard child, not feeling accepted by the rest of his family… so I think he has real issues with trust, and if he is gonna be a little more selfless with Caroline, he’s going to have to conquer them first.

IAN: I feel like Klaus is what happened with Rome, or like, Kublai Khan. He’s created this empire of deceit, and he has to keep it down to protect himself. It’s like what happened with Rome- Rome got so huge that it fell apart.

JOSEPH: Can we stop recording and go back and I’ll pawn that off as if it’s my answer? I feel like Klaus is like what happened with Rome, and I’ll tell you why!

IAN: (Laughs) Not to be too cerebral about it, but I don’t think anyone envies that aspect of Klaus at all.

JOSEPH: It’s a web of deceit that’s getting harder to maintain, so he becomes less and less trusting and he questions everyone’s motives, even though his are the ones that should be questioned. He doesn’t believe that anyone would be genuinely kind to him for that sake. So there’s potential for him to learn to trust, and possibly even to love, but it’s going to be a long journey.

IAN: He’s like the boyfriend of the girlfriend thinking that you’re cheating on them. But it’s actually him!

And Elijah is back, but as of tomorrow night’s episode (‘Dangerous Liaisons’), he doesn’t know who freed him. Will Klaus take advantage of that?

JOSEPH: Well, here’s one thing I can say: the next episode picks up exactly where the last one ended. So it’s great- immediately, you’re back in that room, and you see what happens straight afterwards with those guys.

IAN: Joseph, shut up!

JOSEPH: And what happens is… stop me! Stop me!

Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder Talk Romance with E Online

Daniel Gillies recently spoke with The Insider about the possibility of Elijah vying for Elena.

Insider: What about Elena? I still maintain that there’s an unusual connection between those two.
Daniel: I know it’s a little obvious in the world of Vampire Diaries, where everyone falls in love with Elena, but I agree that Elijah sees something beautiful in her. I would love for him to express that to her before he goes. I feel like Elijah would be most drawn to her because she’s living a better life than people who’ve lived for centuries longer. I think that’s the sort of thing he’s attracted to. Even it was just a moment, I’d love to see them share something — but I think it should be more.
Insider: Elena vs. Katerina — go!
Daniel: It’s funny because I know a lot of fans want Elijah with Katerina, but he’s attracted to who a person is in their soul and Katerina is nowhere near the person Elena is. I think Elijah came to town thinking he’d deal with all this doppelganger business quickly and be done with it. But things got complicated when he saw this girl – I think Elijah fell for Elena harder than he ever fell for Katerina. In my opinion.

Insider: Do you think Elijah could take Damon in the fight for Elena’s heart?
Daniel: I mean, there’s no question if we’re talking about a physical fight – that’s a joke. Elijah all the way. But romantically, I don’t know. I also don’t think Stefan is out of the picture really. Both Elijah and Daniel think Stefan is still the biggest romantic threat for Elena’s heart.

The synopsis and some photos are out for Episode 15, Titled “All My Children”

A FLIP OF THE COIN — After starting her day with a startling discovery of Damon’s (Ian Somerhalder) latest indiscretion, Elena (Nina Dobrev) is frustrated to find that none of her friends agree with her on how they should react to the Original family’s internal power struggle. Once again caught up in the destiny of the Bennett witches, Bonnie (Kat Graham) and Abby (guest star Persia White) find themselves playing a part in a ritual to appease the spirits of nature. When Elijah (guest star Daniel Gillies) gives Damon and Stefan (Paul Wesley) a dangerous ultimatum that puts Elena in danger, they turn to Alaric (Matt Davis) and Meredith (guest star Torrey Devitto) for help with a plan that leads them to a terrible choice. Candice Accola also stars. Pascal Verschooris directed the episode written by Evan Bleiweiss & Michael Narducci (#315)

Inside TV also shared some spoilers and it looks like Caroline’s dad (Yup, I’m still crying) is only the tip of the death iceberg on Vampire Diaries.

Now that we know the originals are ALL here, and ready to have a ball (literally and figuratively) with the gang from Mystic Falls, I can share with you a fun conversation I had with the lovely Kat Graham while on the set of Vampire Diaries this week, in which we talked a little bit about the episodes (and CHAOS!) to come. “The show is very epic. The storylines move really really quick. [It's] definitely one of the fastest storylines I’ve ever been a fan of watching or that I’ve been involved with. So there will be developments that are going to happen [in every episode],” she says. “The episodes with the originals are going to start reaching a head and you’re not going to know whose going to die and whose going to survive and what plans really are going to work this time. And what plans are going to be stopped and thwarted. So some really massive confrontations are definitely going down… that WILL result in death.”
With no one safe, Graham is simply counting her lucky stars that this year has given her such a meaty and satisfying storyline with her mother (played by Persia White). And while their coffin mission might be over, Graham says the same certainly can’t be said for their mother-daughter issues. “There’s still stuff to hash out,” she says. “If somebody does something to you that really really hurts you and has created a ripple effect in your life, you don’t really forget about that and you have to go back and deal with them. You sort of go back into a protective mode because you feel like they’re going to go back and do it again. So Bonnie feels like her mother has to win her trust.”

And finally this week, the CW released two new promo posters….both are sizzling hot!!
