The amazing Rutina Wesley was on The Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson on Friday, May 27, 2011 and we have the video. It’s so nice to see her laughing and having a good time rather than fighting off vampires and maenads on True Blood.

She didn’t give any spoilers for Season 4, but they did show a clip of her proposal from Franklin in Season 3. Rutina and Craig talked about vampires, New Orleans, Las Vegas and karaoke. Did you know she is from Las Vegas and used to be a singing/dancing busser at Roxy’s Diner at Stratosphere in Vegas? She still likes to karaoke – you may find her at The Brass Monkey on Wilshire Boulevard if you are lucky.

Another story from Bill’s past will be uncovered in “True Blood” season 4. Recently, Jessica Tuck said that her character, Nan, shares a history with the male vampire. “All I can say is that Nan and Bill have a history,” she teased, but refused to share more than that. “Details of that history will be revealed in Season 4.”

In the upcoming season, Nan who is a spokeswoman for American Vampire League is assigning Bill and Eric to win back the human public after Russell’s on-air meltdown. To True Blood’s Nest, Jessica revealed her character has a bigger plan than just to maintaining the peace between humans and vampires.

“It would be foolish to think that her efforts were just about making humans and vamps one big happy family,” the series’ new regular said. “There is an agenda behind her agenda but that is not for me to reveal right now. Stay tuned.”

Speaking generally of the show, Jessica dished, “Relationships between the characters get much more complicated and redefined.” She went on gushing, “I love this season – I think there is a lot to sink your teeth into. You won’t be disappointed.”

For “True Blood” star Alexander Skarsgård, playing a formidable vampire on the hit HBO series doesn’t mean he’s wed to the idea of always being undead.

“I do get a lot of scripts sent to me where they basically want me to play Eric from ‘True Blood,’ but just a different name in a different movie,” the actor told his interviewer, Arcade Fire lead singer Win Butler, in the latest issue of Interview magazine.

“That’s not interesting to me. I don’t want to play a character that I’ve played for four years on a television show, change the name, and make him a zombie instead of a vampire.”

Skarsgård, whose turn as vampiric overlord Eric Northman has many fans hot and bothered, explained that for him, the roles that ARE interesting are those that represent a facet of his own personality.

“In a weird way, I always play myself, just through different mirrors,” he said. “If I read a script and I don’t connect with a character, if I can’t find the character on the page in my soul, then I’m not going to be able to do a good job.”

But by the same token, however, Skarsgård admitted to getting a little creeped out himself when fans – and potential directors – confuse his personality with that of his on-screen character.

“The thing that I feel to be a problem potentially is that you become that character, that in the industry, people associate it too closely with who you are and what you can do,” he said.

His “mysterious bad guy” personality has the potential to lock him into some pretty predictable roles, he explained, when it’s really nerves that he craves when looking for the next project – well, that and “f–k you money.”

“There’s got to be something new, something fresh,” he said. “I want to almost be intimidated when I embark on a journey. I wouldn’t say there’s a fear, but I do get slightly nervous in the beginning when that happens, and I like that feeling.

“That triggers me a lot.”

Those who are signed up at HBO Go would be able to watch a 3-minute sneak peek of “True Blood” season 4 premiere. In the video, which has found its way on YouTube, Sookie and Claudine appear in the Fairlyland and she learns that Claudine is her Fairy Godmother. In the enchanted world, Sookie comes across Barry who is also there with his guardian, Lloyd.

One of the fairies offers Sookie the glowing fruit which Barry describes like “biting into pure happiness”. Sookie notices how people crave for the light fruit and suddenly she spots her grandad Earl Stackhouse (Gary Cole) who appears in her flashback giving her a fruit while she was only a little girl.

A beaming Sookie approaches Earl who does not recognize her because he thinks he just met her younger version a week before. But Sookie tells him that it happened 20 years ago.

HBO Go is offering another sneak peek next week before the premiere on June 26.
