Even though the second season has finished and filming is yet to start on the third season, we are still being showered with interviews from some of the cast members.
Nina Dobrev spoke to the New York Post recently, saying that “The entire third season is like a blank slate,”
She said “I think it’s going to feel like a completely new show now that Stefan has gone to the dark side.”
“He will be with Klaus and I think that’ll set up a dark shift because when we started Damon was the mysterious one with all the fog following him. Now I think we’ll see that come back with Stefan and Elena is turned around because she doesn’t know what to do.”
Dobrev added that she expects Elena to have a lot of difficult decisions to make in the new episodes.
“Will she be by herself?” she said. “Will she be with Damon? Will she try to find Stefan? Everything is kind of shifting, so it’ll be refreshing and different, which is nice – you never want to fall into a familiar pattern on a show. And I think [executive producers] Kevin [Williamson] and Julie [Plec] found a way to keep it fresh.”
Kat Graham spoke with Hollywood Life about what is in store for Jeremy and his ex’s next season.
“They might put Bonnie through hell,” Kat told HollywoodLife.com on May 19 at the Young Hollywood Awards, hosted by Bing.
But don’t expect Bonnie to be the one starting trouble with the other girls, regardless of what they may have hidden up their un-undead sleeves.
“I’ve never seen Bonnie be the jealous type,” Kat told us. “I, Kat Graham, would have a little bit of an issue if my boyfriend’s exes just started showing up.”

Clever TV released a video interview with Candice Accola.
Hollywood Life spoke with Malese Jow about the possibilities of a love square in season three and how excited she was to be asked back to the show:
“When I got the call, I couldn’t believe it,” she told them. “It really was a monumental time in my life, so it’s so cool to go back and have that experience again.”
